Vekoma – Chance Morgan: US alliance

Vekoma Rides and Chance Morgan have established an alliance in the U.S. market in a move designed to both strengthen their sales and manufacturing position there and better serve the needs of the U.S. amusement and theme park markets. With the U.S. market representing a substantial customer base for the amusement and attractions industry, the companies feel this co-operation will create an advantage for customers by combining the extensive sales, engineering and manufacturing resources of both companies. The co-operation has already resulted in the sale of two new attractions for the U.S. market, details of which will be revealed shortly. Angus Jenkins has been hired as the new Director of Theme Park Sales and will be handling all U.S. Amusement and Theme Park sales for Chance Morgan and Vekoma Rides. Jenkins has 16 years of extensive facility management, design, construction and procurement experience within the amusement industry, including prominent positions at LARC, Alfa SmartParks, Jazzland Theme Park and Wet ‘n Wild. He will operate out of a Dallas, Texas office. Bill McCarthy, former Amusement Park Sales Manager for Chance Morgan, announced his retirement from the company in September. During the transition period, all sales activities for Vekoma Rides in the U.S. will be handled directly through the corporate offices of Chance Morgan in Wichita, Kansas, with assistance from the Netherlands through Peter van Bilsen, Sr. V.P. of Marketing and Sales and Charlotte van Etten, Account Manager.
